As a candidate for Township Trustee, I am eager to contribute to the growth and well-being of Meridian Township.
The Township Board controls the budget and priorities that affect 44,000 of us here in mid-Michigan. A good township government can support housing initiatives, like the ones we saw on the Tri-County Affordable Housing Plan.
A good township government finds funding partnerships to support the priorities of the community. Whether that be expanding park services, local infrastructure expansion or building a community center.
A good township government listens to our values when deciding where we put our time and resources.
I want to be a part of A Good Township Government.
I am excited to be a part of a governing body that listens to you, cares about what you care about, and strives to make this place open to opportunity.
I want to hear more about what you want Meridian Township government to do, please send me an email, call or text so we can work together.
I’m Nickolas Lentz, a Democrat running for Meridian Township Trustee
In service to Meridian Township, I plan to:
- Support the 904 acres of parks in Meridian Township to ensure they are safe, accessible to all, and have the range of activities that residents want.
- Protect our wetlands and environment so all residents of Meridian have access to nature, and implement green initiatives laid out in the Meridian Township Climate Sustainability Plan.
- Work on projects that revitalize the parts of Meridian Township that have long been underutilized.
- Keep the municipal budget in check so our residents can continue to rely on township services.
- Work on projects that bring us together as a community. Especially after the pandemic, it is easy for us to become isolated, but having a rich tapestry of community centers, parks with activities, and the infrastructure to ensure everyone can connect means we are a stronger community.
